Strengthening Medical Education and Training: LRIH and School of Medicine Explore Collaborative Opportunities

OOn 24^th June 2024, Mr & Mrs Titus and Julie Boit of Living Room International Hospital (LRIH) Eldoret, paid a courtesy call to the Dr. Julia Songok's office (Dean - School of Medicine).

Accompanying the team were Dr. Amisi Akiruga, Chair of Department Family Medicine, Medical Education and Community Health; Dr. Jeremiah Laktabai Faculty in the Department of Family Medicine, Medical Education and Community Health, and Dr. Daria Szkwarko Director of the Family Medicine Global Health Fellowship at Brown University USA. Discussions included an MOU towards mutual interests in scholarships and medical training of MMED Family Medicine and Clinical Fellowship in Palliative Care and Pain Management. Having LRIH as a COBES site is one other consideration among other areas of medical training, clinical services, research and Community Service. We are committed to having a fruitful collaboration.
