Introduction
Orthopaedic surgery is the surgical specialty for the diagnosis and treatment of injuries, diseases, and congenital deformities of the musculoskeletal system. Orthopaedics therefore is concerned with disorders of the bones, joints, muscles, tendons, and nerves. It includes diseases of the upper limb, lower limb, vertebral column and bony pelvis.
Moi University stands in the unique position of leading the way in orthopaedics training in Kenya. This will be the first MMed-orthopaedics training program in Kenya.
