Bio-Banking project hosts a team of Bio-Banking Experts at the School of Medicine

Prof. Kirtika Patel, being a Co-PI of a Bio-Banking project, with Prof. Simeon Mining and Dr. Ronald Tonui, are hosting a team of Bio-Banking experts. Dr. Rana German is the Biospecimen Manager for the Komen Tissue Bank at Indiana University. Her responsibility is to process, bank & distribute specimens, and to help researchers to identify their study cohorts. Dr. Pam Rockey is the Biobank Manager for the Biospecimen Collection and Banking Core at Indiana University (IU) Simon Cancer Center. Dr. Michelle Cote is a molecular epidemiologist interested in understanding cancer etiology, prevention, and survival of breast, ovarian, and endometrial cancers. She is the Dr. Carrie Ann Glasscock West Chair in Breast carcinogenesis, Indiana University Melvin & Bren Simon Comprehensive Cancer Center, and a Professor of Epidemiology at Indiana University Richard M. Fairbanks School of Public Health. The team looks forward to bilateral work in Bio-ethics, Bio-Banking, collaborative research, and the involvement of young researchers.
