School of Medicine & AMPATH Kenya hold collaborative talks with Prof. Erika Schillinger of Stanford University

On Friday 1^st September 2023, Dr. Julia Songok, Paediatrician and Dean Moi University School of Medicine and Dr. Jeremiah Laktabai, Family Medicine Specialist and AMPATH Kenya Executive Director Care, had great discussions with Prof. Erika Schillinger, MD Family Medicine, and Vice Chief for Education, Division of Primary Care and Population Health at Stanford University USA. Prof. Erika Schillinger visited AMPATH Kenya for a period of 3 weeks to explore potential areas of bilateral collaboration in Family Medicine training, Medical Education, Health Care, Research, and Community Service. Among the priority areas discussed included strengthening of simulation labs, support for faculty as regards medical education, and development of a Clinical Fellowship curriculum on Palliative Care & Pain Medicine.
